About the Journal

Scope

  • Scientific Area:
    Unpublished scientific articles that present the results of theoretical and empirical research, as well as reviews, interviews, and bibliographic essays, with a multidisciplinary approach aimed at covering a diversity of academic fields aligned with the priorities of the Galicia–Northern Portugal Euroregion. Authors of submitted works must be affiliated with a Higher Education Institution or Technological Center located within the Galicia–Northern Portugal Euroregion. Nevertheless, contributions are also welcome from authors not based in those institutions or centers, as long as the content of their papers is explicitly related to research or key issues relevant to the Euroregion GNP.

  • Target Audience:

Primary Audience:
All knowledge-generating agents within and about the GNP Euroregion are the main target audience of this digital journal, with access to publish their work, specifically:

  1. a) Authors of unpublished scientific articles (papers) developed jointly between researchers from Galicia and Northern Portugal, either within the scope of Research Stays supported by the IACOBUS programme (in its various past calls), or through other cross-border collaborations;
  2. b) Authors of unpublished papers (Portuguese, Galician or from elsewhere) who, even if not produced through Euroregional partnerships, clearly address topics and issues related to the Galicia–Northern Portugal Euroregion, and meet the highest international standards of scientific quality.

Secondary Audience:
All stakeholders in the GNP Euroregional Knowledge and Innovation Ecosystem will also benefit from the results published in this digital journal, with access to the content of published articles, namely:

  1. a) Professors, researchers, and students from GNP Euroregional Higher Education Institutions and Technological Centers;
  2. b) Business representatives who will gain easier access to research conducted in Galicia and Northern Portugal, fostering knowledge transfer;
  3. c) Public administrations who will gain a better understanding of the GNP Euroregional R&D+i system, enabling them to respond to needs and develop more effective responses to the social, economic, and environmental challenges of Galicia and Northern Portugal.

  • Objectives:
    The main goal of publishing the first Euroregional scientific journal is to disseminate the results of research, studies, and contributions to knowledge generated in the Galicia–Northern Portugal Euroregion. Through cooperation between research units, this initiative highlights collaborative work that promotes and enhances cooperation at various levels in the field of R&D+i — including institutional, academic-technological, and business — and boosts the international dissemination, transfer, and impact of the knowledge produced within this Cooperation Area (GNP). The aim is to ensure that this knowledge reaches all relevant stakeholders, fostering further collaboration opportunities among Euroregional institutions.
