Labour fexibility within a neo-marxist perspective
Keywords:
Neo-marxism, labour market, official data, flexibilizationAbstract
This article is a criticism of neoliberalism given its lack of compliance with labour laws for new workers in a new segment. A Marxist perspective provides an analysis of how social rights are not being complied with nowadays concerning service app employees. The role of the pandemic in increasing unemployment and as a consequence placing more workers into informal jobs is also seen as a problem. An understanding of the present-day labour market is provided through the research of global organizations such as the ILO - International Labor Organization of Labor and the IMF – International Monetary Fund. This is quantitative research, based on official numbers.
