Keywords:
work schedules, well-being, satisfaction with work schedule, industrial sectorAbstract
This study analyses the impact of shift work on well-being and satisfaction with work schedules, comparing the perception of shift workers with the perception of day workers. 129 workers and 31 partners participated in the study. Shift workers reported lower well-being and lower satisfaction with their schedule than day workers. The partners of shift workers were also less satisfied than the partners of day workers. Given the negative impacts associated with shift work, the results of which this study reinforces, organizations should adopt strategies to better adapt to these schedules.
