This article addresses the intersection between work and family in Portuguese trial and district courts concerning the issue of work-family conflict among magistrates, district attorneys and court officials. To do this, data collected through the online questionnaire survey applied to Portuguese judicial career professionals was used, particularly the Work-Family Conflict Scale (WFCS). In addition, information gathered through a series of interviews was considered. In conclusion, judicial career professionals experience elevated levels of work-family conflict, with a greater dominance of work over family than vice versa.
