Author Guidelines

Configurações: Revista de Ciências Sociais publishes unpublished academic works in the form of articles and book reviews, which contribute to enriching scientific knowledge regarding social reality at the national and international levels. The aim is to balance the publication of high quality original work by senior and young researchers.

The journal's editorial approach is based on an ongoing call for contributions and thematic issues. The aim is to safeguard the journal’s identity, which is based on relevant topics in the area of Social Sciences, especially Sociology, and to ensure its periodicity, thus enabling it to be indexed in international bibliographic databases recognised by the scientific community.

Manuscripts submitted for publication undergo an initial screening by the Editorial Team, which decides whether they are relevant to the scientific scope of the journal. They are subsequently subjected to independent double-blind peer review. On the basis of the reviews given, the Editorial Team may suggest that authors revise their work.

The Editorial Team reserves the right not to publish manuscripts received and this decision will be communicated in writing to the authors.

Articles proposed to Configurações: Revista de Ciências Sociais must be submitted electronically following registration on the platform.
